After Reading Reflection #1

This semester, we practiced responding to text using the After Reading reflection strategy from AVID. Students clicked on Comments below and typed in one of the after reading reflections from their reading journals. They were reminded not to type in their full name - use only initials.

The article of the story is called the "Space Taker Effect". After reading the text, my view of Space Takers, has not changed for life for the following reasons: first, space takers are still disturbing kids learning and second, space takers affects students grades. Jenny while argued that I am forced to bear through the teacher's jaded lesson to deaf ears. The affirms my beliefs that space takers are still required to take the same tests as all the others. The most significant questions this text raises for me is am I a space taker? Do space takers have a low lexile score? Overall, this taught me that space takers are the ones who don't succeed in life.

After reading the text my view of developing solar panel roads has not changed for the following reasons; First, vehicles can drive on them without damaging them; and second, they can have LED Lights that would be used to display traffic lines, warnings, and signs. Achieve 3000 remarked that they can melt away snow and ice. This affirms my belief that developing alternative forms of energy is healthy for the roads and they can help your car in a most important way. The most significant question this text raises for me is how many solar panels are there in the world? Overall, the text taught me that solar panels are helpful and smart

Solar Roadways

After reading the text my view of developing alternative forms of energy has not changed for the following reasons: first, it could potentially lessen pollution & we could live in a healthier environment ; and second, it would be cheaper for tax payers that pay for snow removal. Achieve300 explained that the panels could warn drivers of danger on the road & can decrease traffic chaos. This affirms my belief that developing alternative forms of energy would be remarkably helpful to the environment.

After reading the text , my view of the the space - taker has not changed because space - takers will still be the same until they understood they are doing wrong and second , they still won't care about their education. Jenny states that some students come to school for petty reasons and only take up space for the students that are actually dedicated to their education. This affirms my belief that space takers are petty. The most significant question this text raises for me is , why are space - takers , space takers ? Overall , this text taught me that I should focus more on my education.

Space takers-After reading, my view of space takers has not changed for the following reasons : first, that is exactly what I feel about space takers and second, like she said they are not going to get a job. Jenny While challenges that students come school for petty reasons and only take up space . This affirms my belief that space takers are just like she said petty and very annoying. The most significant questions this text raises for me is why are space takers in our classes? Overall, this text taught me if I become a space taker I will not learn anything.

Space taker effect- before reading the space taker effect, I should reflect on how I feel I believe that these students should not come to school if they want to come to school to talk, then don't come to school. I have come to believe this because many kids want to learn but they can't because of the space takers, although the more you talk the more friends you will get, talking can also get a little over board, and you can end up getting in the trouble for disturbing others.

After reading the text my view of devolving alternative forms of energy has change for the following reasons first it does not hurt the environment and second generate electricity this will help out a lot of people. This most significant question this text raises for me is how much money does it cost? Overall this text taught me about solar energry

The Space-Taker Effect- After reading the text, my view of space-takers has not changed for the following reasons: First, it goes along with my predictions. And second, it makes a lot of sense. Author Jenny While, it would create a smarter state because it would virtually destroy below average students. The most significant question this text raises for me is why do we waste our time dealing with space takers? Overall, this text taught me don't take your learning for granted.

A New Kind Of Road.
After reading the text, my view of A Nee King Of Road, my prospective has not changed from the following reasons: first, it's technology can give warning signals of danger and safety, to help protect civilization; and second, It can also progeny from raffia. Achieve 3000 reflected on how to change roads, and of how it's getting the company money. It also reflects how much better it is to help them as well. This affirms my belief that their can possibly be a way for this to be a really good thing. This most significant question this text raises for me is how long would it take for a whole continent to at least change the old roads,into the new and improved ones that they have invented? Overall, this text taught me that there is a way to make more money, by not even noticing something simple.

A new kind of road- After reading the text,my view of developing alternative form of energy has not changed for the following reasons: first it is difficult to replace roads with panels and second , may not be reliable (dependent) in severe weather. Acheive 3000 stated that this may cost a lot of money to get the panels. This affirms my belief that people will go through a lot just to get the panels and it will cost too much. The most significant question this text raises for me is how much money or space in the world do these panels take up? Overall this text taught we that can save energy, but we will lose a lot of money to these panels.
