Students learned visualization as a reading strategy this year.  When reading, they have learned to create a mental image of what the author is saying based on the imagery used by the author.  In this activity, students were told to read Chapter 3 and create a picture explaining an event in the story.

Respond to any of the prompts below.  Be sure to identify the letter of the prompt to which you are responding.  REMEMBER - only use your first and last initials.

A.  How does the behavior of the pigs foreshadow or offer a prediction about their eventual roles as leaders on the farm?  Support your answer.

B.  From what you've read so far about the pigs and the other animals on the farm, what will the future be like for them?

C.  Why do you think the animals like the song "Beasts of England" so much that they memorize it on the spot?  To what emotions or needs does it appeal?  Provide evidence to support your answer.
