I’m Dr. Patryce Harvey, and I support second-career and non-traditional educators as they transition into K–12 classrooms.
I love helping educators bloom, blossom, and bear fruit in the area of literacy (Jer. 17:7-8).
I have served elementary, middle, and high school teachers and students across the Southeast for over 25 years. During that time, I've helped successfully design, develop, and implement all aspects and phases of K-12 education including technology integration and curriculum design.
As a literacy expert and educational consultant, I help second-career educators translate their professional expertise into effective classroom practice, integrating instructional systems, literacy, and classroom culture. Together, we set attainable goals, track progress, apply strategies and interventions, and celebrate each and every victory - no matter how small it may seem. I even created a Facebook group to provide support and resources for other second-career educators!

Dr. Patryce Harvey is a literacy expert and educational consultant specializing in supporting non-traditional and second-career teachers. Through her MODEL framework, she equips educators with strong instructional foundations, including standards-based planning, differentiation, student engagement strategies, and literacy integration across content areas. Her work bridges the gap between content expertise and effective classroom practice, strengthening teacher confidence and improving student outcomes. She is an alumnus of Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina and received a Doctor of Education in Reading and Literacy from Capella University.
